Alumni association

         The Government engineering college Idukki (GECI) starts functioning at Painavu, the Idukki headquarters, to impart technical knowledge in various fields of engineering. The campus is presently operating at kuyilimala, surrounded by scenic beauty and pristine forest. Since its inception in 2000, GECI completes 20 years of successfully generating graduates and postgraduates in various disciplines. Within 20 years, more than 5000 students have completed their graduate and postgraduate courses. The GECI alumni association functions in the college to build storing relation between the passed out students and the alma mater. The alumni association is in the process of preparing a database of GECI alumni. The students who have passed out from GECI can be a part of this alumni association by filling out the registration form. Request all of you to be a part of this process.

   Name Revealing Ceremony of the Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet

   The Name Revealing Ceremony of the Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet of Government Engineering College Idukki  was held on 22 July 2026 at 12:30 PM in the Seminar Hall, Administrative Block.
   The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the preparations for the much-awaited Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet.
   Mr. Vijeesh N. V., Assistant District Industries Officer and an alumnus of the 2005–2009 Electronics and Communication Engineering batch, officially unveiled the name of the alumni meet, LEGECI, and ceremoniously handed it over to the Principal, Dr. Baiju Sasidharan.

   The name LEGECI, was suggested by Albin, student of S5 Information Technology and awarded with cash prize sponsored by Dr. Manju Manuel 
   The official typography and logo design were created by Gowri Shankar, a student of S3 Mechanical Engineering
   The event celebrated the collaborative efforts of alumni, faculty, and students, setting the stage for a memorable Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet under the banner of
